Manufacturing Electrical-Mechanical Technician


Location

Fremont, California

This position is a temporary position for duration of 6 to 9-months.

Responsibilities

We’re seeking a strong electrical-mechanical technician who will work from assembly instructions, schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, and plans to build, test, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.  Performs tests and identifies fault isolation on systems and equipment using DCG procedures.  Assists in determining methods or actions required to remedy malfunctions / issues.  Records test procedures and results, performs routine analysis and calculations; and makes recommendations for changes in equipment, product or test methods. 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of industry experience in building and testing of electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.  Experience in semiconductor equipment industry is highly desirable.
  • Must have experience using basic hand tools to assemble and disassemble equipment, including screw drivers, wrenches, soldering equipment, wiring tools, etc.
  • Must be able to read technical drawings including assembly drawings, BoMs, schematics, etc.
  • Troubleshooting experience using oscilloscopes, DVM, and other test equipment
  • Basic computer skills using MS-Office
  • Fluent in English; must be able to write weekly reports
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Education

  • Associates Degree (or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience).
