NEXS Senior Software Engineer

Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer opening in our NEXS division, which designs custom CAD software for our electrical failure analysis and circuit edit tools. The NEXS software suite supports a wide range of applications, including CAD navigation with DCG hardware, third party links with EDA applications, and a new application which automates electrical failure analysis tasks. Our software integrates multiple third-party libraries and tool kits.
Responsibilities
The job involves building and maintaining end-user applications for semiconductor diagnosis and yield analysis. The candidate should have expertise in optimizing performance for large CAD databases. A working knowledge of EDA physical design tools and basic understanding of electrical analysis of integrated circuits would be very helpful. The individual will take ownership of existing products and recommend and implement improvements and optimizations. The individual will initiate design reviews and write supporting documentation.
Skills
Required
- Expertise in C/C++, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Linux/UNIX development tools
- Experience with source control management (SCM), including build scripts, installers and automated regression testing
- Experience with spatial databases, queries and optimizations
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and socket-based programming
- Experience with UNIX shell and tcl scripting languages
- Ability to understand the product application to make assessments of the scope and risks
- Ability to translate product requirements into software functional specifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Self-starter and fast learner
Preferred
- Skills in CAD vector and bitmap graphics
- Experience with Xdesigner, Java, QT, python, .Net, Visual Basic,
- Experience in EDA/semiconductor industry
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science with 4-8 years of technical experience in software development
