Applications Development Engineer

Summary
This Engineer will become expert in applications of DCG Circuit Analysis instruments that are used to accelerate IC design development, IC yield improvement & IC failure analysis. This knowledge will be used in technical support of these DCG instruments and in developing new usage models (applications) for these instruments.
Responsibilities
- Support DCG Circuit Analysis instruments sales motions
- Visit customers to learn Circuit Analysis instrument requirements
- Present technical information on DCG Circuit Analysis tools to customers
- Maintain proficiency on operating & using Circuit Analysis products
- Help create technical publications & sales collateral
- Conduct customer evaluations
- Demonstrate DCG Circuit Analysis instruments
- Help define market & engineering Circuit Analysis requirements
- Train and/or Support customers on-site
- Train DCG engineers on tool usage
- Contribute to Alpha SW development
- Help develop new usage models for DCG tools (develop applications)
Technical Skills
- A good working knowledge of semiconductor devices
- Strong lab skills, ability to execute characterization experiments and ability to clearly document results
- Computer literate

Education/Experience
- BS, MS or PhD or equivalent in EE, Physics or Material Science
- Knowledge of optics & lasers
- Electrical Failure Analysis or Design Debug experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of ATE, IC Processing, IC Design or Transistor Physics (preferred)
Working Conditions
- The position requires some travel, on average < 25%.
